About Jessica

BIO:

Rev/Chaplain Jessica Knight is the Executive Director and Founder of F.I.R.E. Revolution Freedom Center and Advocacy for Women Inc where the acronym FIRE stands for Freedom Is foR Everyone. Jessica established FIRE Revolution in 2015 to address the impact a sex trafficking experience can have on an individual as well as the family unit and to bring awareness to the truth of navigating through life after an experience with human trafficking. FIRE's mission is to develop a community that supports, loves and accepts victims and survivors in their journey of healing as well as outreaching to prevent recruitment. FIRE has a large survivor community of both human trafficking and domestic violence doing events and life together. FIRE has a growing survivor advocate team learning and practicing their purpose and establishing their individual voices; making their journey out of the inferno and into a life of freedom. Jessica has been an Anti-human trafficking advocate for over a decade. She started as a volunteer facilitator at the Phoenix Dream Center's sex trafficking recovery program, which opened the opportunity to become the Outreach Director leading street/strip club outreaches, running a team for the hotline and recoveries assisting victims exit out of a trafficking environment.

Jessica journey started with childhood sexual abuse by a family friend and then physical and mental abuse within the family unit. Her dad was the one that rescued her mom from teen prostitution prior to being married. Jessica witnessed her mom struggle with her sex trafficking experience which led to Jessica's loss in identity, self-worth and a morality compass on how to navigate life.  Jessica's early life was filled with homelessness, failed marriages and lack of healthy parenting to her 3 daughters. As a result of Jessica's vulnerabilities, she was later recruited by a convicted sex trafficker. After 4 months of dating Jessica recognized she was being groomed to be sex trafficked and ended the relationship she was in with this trafficker.  He continued to follow and find Jessica thru her social media accounts. In a state of exhaustion and loneliness from battling self-hatred and thoughts of suicide, Jessica stood firm, believing God had rescued her for a purpose. She worked diligently in her healing, restoring her relationship with her daughters and finding her own voice of freedom in her identity in Christ. Finding value in her experiences and her healing Jessica established FIRE Revolution as a center to assist survivors/victims of Human Trafficking, Domestic Violence and Incarcerated Youth find liberation and peace from their traumatic life experiences. Participating in The Faithful City Weave & Cleave Trauma Informed Community Development project, Celebrate Recovery and the Sharon Henning College for Chaplaincy to grow in her own healing and ultimately understand trauma. Suicide prevention being close to her heart Jessica elects to volunteer on committees with Maricopa County, the State of Arizona and other faith-based organizations to bring awareness to those in our health care system and incarceration on the social issue surrounding human trafficking and how we can improve in our local communities as well as  nationally and globally on how to prevent the loss of survivors and victims' committing suicide.

Understanding her life is always as risk by the convicted trafficker for over 10 years and for assisting women & teens exit out of a violent situation, for conducting outreaches in the sex industry and mentoring those trying to exit, newly exited or exited for quite some time, she practices in the martial art Krav Maga. Always willing to assist in training women to stand against violence, exploitation  and trafficking

Jessica's practice as a follower of Jesus Christ gives a whole new perspective on God's reckless love for His Children, being the hands and feet of Jesus in the community mission field and reflecting the warrior side of her savior.
